Delft Circuits was born out of a practical problem and a clear vision of the future.
Around 2015, during his PhD, founder and inventor Sal Bosman was working hands-on with cryogenic systems. Like many researchers in the field, he faced the same persistent challenge: wiring a cryostat was complex, time-consuming, and often unreliable. Even in relatively small-scale experimental setups, the limitations were already clear.
But Sal wasn’t just thinking about his own setup. He could see where the field was heading. As quantum technologies and other cryogenic applications advanced, scaling up would become inevitable, and with it, the wiring problem would only grow worse. Traditional coaxial cabling, he realized, was simply not a future-proof solution.
Driven by this insight, Sal developed a fundamentally new approach: Cri/oFlex®. Designed to be scalable, reliable, and efficient, it laid the foundation for a new generation of cryogenic interconnect technology, and for what Delft Circuits produces today.
Daan Kuitenbrouwer joined during this time. As he worked closely with Sal on developing the technology, it quickly became clear that they shared a vision. Together, they set out on a mission: to solve the growing I/O bottleneck and enable the next phase of scalable cryogenic systems.
In 2017, Sal Bosman and Daan Kuitenbrouwer officially founded Delft Circuits.
In the years that followed, Daan took on various roles within the company, consistently helping to bring Delft Circuits to the next level, from hiring the first employees and securing funding to spearheading commercial development and, more recently, leading the roadmap team. Today, as Chief Product Officer, he continues to drive the company’s vision, ensuring it remains closely aligned with the evolving needs of the market.
Sal continues to be closely involved in the company, contributing his deep technical expertise and original vision to Delft Circuits’ innovation and ongoing development. His early insight into the I/O bottleneck remains central to the company’s direction today, as Delft Circuits scales its infrastructure to support the next generation of cryogenic and quantum systems.

Every flex is fabricated in our in-house cleanroom and assembled into complete loaders, probes and cabling kits. Precision alignment ensures optimal performance across every channel.
All flexes pass quality control at room temperature and at cryogenic temperatures, including critical temperature of superconducting lines, transmission performance, and contact resistance. As final system check, every channel is characterized before being shipped.
We take care of installation and perform on-site quality checks. Our maintenance service offers quick remote or on-site support with upgrading, replacements, or troubleshooting.
