Delft Circuits Appoints Karen Keenan as COO to Scale Quantum I/O Hardware Manufacturing for Global Customers

Maarten Hendriks to Lead Quantum Fab and Infrastructure Expansion

DELFT, Netherlands (April 7, 2026) – Delft Circuits today announces the appointment of
Karen Keenan as Chief Operating Officer (COO), marking a key step in scaling the company
into a global quantum I/O hardware manufacturing platform. Karen succeeds Maarten
Hendriks, who will transition into a new role focused on leading the expansion of the
company’s Quantum Fab infrastructure in the Netherlands as the company accelerates
production capabilities to meet increasing demand.
This leadership transition comes at a pivotal moment for Delft Circuits. The company is
advancing the development of its new Quantum Fab in Delft, a dedicated facility for
manufacturing quantum I/O hardware, while also planning further expansion of its global
commercial and field operations to support customers worldwide. Together, these efforts
position Delft Circuits well to support the scaling of the next generation of quantum
systems.
“We are entering a new phase of our growth, where scaling operations becomes just as
important as advancing the technology itself. I am excited to join at this key moment and to
work with the team building the operational backbone required for our global growth, while
preserving the quality and innovation that define the company,” said Karen Keenan, COO at
Delft Circuits.
As the quantum industry continues to scale, Delft Circuits is rapidly expanding its production
capabilities, operational bandwidth and global footprint to meet increasing customer
demand.
“We have built a strong operational foundation over the past years, and the next step will
help us scale it even further. Karen brings exactly the right leadership and experience
needed for this phase. I am excited to now focus fully on expanding our Quantum Fab and
infrastructure in the Netherlands, ensuring we are ready to support the growing demand for
quantum I/O hardware on a global level,” added Maarten Hendriks.
This transition further strengthens Delft Circuits’ executive team, following the recent
appointment of Martin Danoesastro as CEO and the earlier addition of CCO Robby
Ferdinandus. Together, these changes reflect the company’s continued evolution toward
industrial-scale operations and its ambition to play a central role serving customers in the
global quantum ecosystem.
CEO Martin Danoesastro added “Our customers are rapidly scaling their quantum systems,
driving a new level of demand for reliable, industrial-grade I/O hardware. The next step is to
industrialize that scale globally. Karen brings the experience required to scale our operations
to meet increasing global demand and drive execution at speed, while Maarten focuses on
expanding our Quantum Fab and infrastructure. In parallel, we are strengthening our global
customer-facing capabilities to serve them at scale. Together, this leadership team positions
Delft Circuits to accelerate growth, attract top talent, and partner with the leading players
shaping the future of quantum systems.”
Karen Keenan brings a strong combination of operational excellence, strategic insight, and
people-focused leadership. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in aerospace
engineering from TU Delft and began her career at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where
she developed a strong foundation in business strategy. She later joined Luuna (now
Zebrands) in Mexico as Head of Product at an early stage. As COO, she played a key role in
scaling the organization from 35 to over 800 employees, growing revenues from $5 million
to over $100 million, significantly improving customer satisfaction, and achieving positive
EBITDA.
With Karen Keenan as COO and Maarten Hendriks leading infrastructure expansion, Delft
Circuits is entering its next phase focused on scaling production, advancing its Quantum Fab
infrastructure, and supporting the rapid growth of the quantum industry worldwide.
