Exciting News: From Lab to Fab in 12 months I think that, by now, the world has seen a lot of activity from Delft Circuits. As Founder and CEO, I can’t tell you how excited I am. I have been waiting to share this story with you as it marks the next, exciting phase of growth for the company. 🚀 We started in an abandoned lab at the fourth floor of Delft University of Technology. While QuTech was power hungry, and the city infrastructure had to be overhauled to route more electricity to the campus, we had 600 Ampères of power current available. We were really privileged. ☀️ Soon, it became clear that our boom and bustling activity at the fourth floor was unsustainable. Playing Nintendo Tetris with machines started to become a weekly activity, and our fabrication started to overflow to every corner we could find. So we needed something bigger. 🌍 Then we found Cable District. As cable guys we were determined; In a former cable factory stretching over 12 hectares, we found the perfect location to build our next fab. We found a former Porsche garage that we transformed into our current fab in record pace of 12 months. It includes the installation of top of line production tools, thanks to an investment DeepTechXL, with cutting edge partners such as ASML and Philips. A New Era of Production Therefore, I am thrilled to announce that Delft Circuits has expanded its production facility to meet the growing demand for our high-quality microwave Cri/oFlex®. Our expanded facility boasts over 1000 m2 (10700 sq ft.) of production and cleanroom floor space, allowing us to perform in-house flex production, cryogenic and microwave measurements. This state-of-the-art infrastructure is equipped with cutting-edge fabrication tools, ensuring that every component meets our high standards of quality. Ramping Up Production – Total Game changer With our new facility, we have increased our production capacity by 12 X, with the highest level of quality. This level of excellence is made possible by the expertise of our team of top-line semiconductor experts. From the earliest days we were dedicated to help our customers gain momentum by bringing in the best practices from well established industries as semiconductor and telecom. We’re now open for more business, and kicking off a large go-to-market campaign to showcase our expanded capabilities and products. With our new facility and increased production capacity, we’re poised to become a leading player in the quantum industry supply chain. I am grateful to all of our partners, ranging from QuTech, and the lab of Gary Steele, to NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration, SRON Netherlands Institute for Space Research, and countless others, who helped us on the way, and we can’t wait to see what the future will bring!
